U.S. Student Program

The U.S. Student Program is designed to give recent B.S./B.A. graduates, master´s and doctoral candidates, and young professionals and artists opportunities for personal development and study and/or research in any field in Peru. Projects may include university coursework, independent research, special projects in the social or life sciences, or a combination.

All grantees must affiliate with a Peruvian research or academic institution. Applicants are not required to arrange affiliation before selection. However, affiliations must be arranged prior to departure from the U.S. Research permits for archaeological research and for research in areas designated as mature reserves must be obtained prior to departure from the U.S.

Through a cooperative agreement between the United States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Institute of International Education (IIE) assists in the administration of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Prospective candidates must apply through IIE for a grant to Peru.

For eligibility requirements, application procedure and additional information, contact the IIE webpage: www.iie.org/fulbright Look for the "Country Summary" about Peru.
