U.S. faculty,
scholars and specialists in different fields are invited to participate in
the Senior Specialist Program in Peru. This new program, offers grants in
specific fields for periods from two to six weeks to engage in the following
activities: consult with Peruvian post-secondary institutions, present lectures
at graduate and undergraduate levels, participate or lead seminars or workshops
at Peruvian academic institutions, conduct surveys, institutional research,
conduct teacher training programs at tertiary level, develop and/or assess
academic curricula or educational materials.
Through
a cooperative agreement with the United States Bureau of Educational and Cultural
Affairs, the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) assists
in the administration of the Fulbright Senior Specialist Program. Prospective
candidates must apply for candidacy for the Fulbright Senior Specialist Roster
in each program field through CIES. Pre-approved candidates are matched with
requests submitted by Peruvian institutions.
